DOCMA Photoshop Magazine Feature - 5 Page Spread

Back in January of 2012, I was featured in DOCMA Photoshop Magazine in Germany. It's strange but this being my best interviewed feature to date totally slipped my mind and never got posted on my blog. It was a five page spread and sort of in story form about me but it's in German and although I have the PDF files for all five pages, Google Translate is totally useless. It makes no sense what so ever. Anyhow, I wanted to get it up on my blog since I failed to do so nearly nine months ago, duh. :)

It's going to be loads of fun and insanely cool! Thanks to Alex for having me on his show. I was honored and it was a true pleasure. Prince Bill ~ Photigy.com Interview - Alex Koloskov

Bill Murray
This is a quick manipulation of Bill Murray. I love working with Bill's face as well as this painting. I think I've used it about 4 times. It's just a quick doodle to loosten up before starting on a more complex project.

A quick note about tomorrow, Thursday September 13th, I will be interviewed by world renowned photographer, Google+ sensation and studio lighting guru +Alex Koloskov, AKA "The lighting magician" via PHOTIGY Live Hangout on Air! - 10:00pm EST - 9:00pm CST, (your time: http://goo.gl/UuMZo). We tried this once before the last hurricane but was unable to do the interview due to a power outage. This event will be live-streamed courtesy of Google+ and will be available for future viewing on Photigy.com/live as well as YouTube. Be sure and check out Photigy.com which is rich with stunning imagery and very valuable teachings and demos by Alex Koloskov. This man has some insane skills!

Bill Murray - All Dressed Up

I've been working on a caricature study of Bill Murray for the past 3 days, not this one though. I was struggling with one that was giving me trouble. Sometimes they flow and sometimes I struggle a bit, but I usually have enough sense to lay it down and take a different route or scrap it all together. I decided to dump that mess this afternoon and found this image which really seemed to have the right stuff. I only spent about 3 hours on this one as it is low resolution and I didn't fuss over the details much. Just had fun with it, duh... I should have known better. I'm not going to let the other one beat me though. I'll return to it when it feels right. Below is the source image I used.
